Based on the websites Allsides.com, 8Value.com, and politicalcompass.org, there has been different results (although they are similar) with regard to my political ideology. The results from allsides has concluded that my political ideology is considered “leaning left” while the results from 8 value and political compass were similar. The 8values results seemed more in depth due to the fact that it addressed multiple categories which influenced like the result of liberalism; this can be seen with the economist category (centrist), diplomatic (peaceful), civil (liberal), societal (progressive). The political compass results concluded that my coordinate for economic belief is -3.0 to the left while social libertarian/ authoritarian is -3.74 to the left. An interesting aspect about the political compass is that it compares your results with other influential individuals such as gandhi, hitler and more. With regard to that comparison, my results were very similar to gandhi’s results which I found interesting.
Based on the results, I do agree with the conclusions for each website survey. My results are pretty similar to other teenagers around my age but it is not completely common, the results were not surprising in any way because I already identified as liberal and knew I had a left leaning bias (not completely left). The tests confirmed my beliefs and my biased ideals and they compared to what I originally thought by again, confirming a bias I already knew that I had.
